Mission Design on an Open World Game

This project explores Mission Design theme in an Open World Map.

In a fantasy world, you wake up as an old hero from your long sleep during dark times, your lands have been corrupted and dangerous creatures roam everywhere.

Your people await you to save them, purge the lands of the corruption and give them back their freedom.

ABOUT :

  • Developed in 8 weeks (from preprod to post prod)

  • Made in UE4

  • Skin taken from mixamo / Epic store

  • Assets used taken from Epic store

Inspired by :

  • TES: Skyrim

  • Zelda: BOTW

  • Horizon : Zero Dawn

  • The Witcher III

  • Halo : Infinite

  • LOTR : Shadow of Mordor

        The Game :        

The player is an ancient hero that wokes up during dark times to help his people, the objective is to kill a dragon that took over all the continent.

You start with your bow and must clear the 3 groves to unlock the great wall that leads to the rest of the continent.

Here is an overview of the pre-production of the Level Design, I had to create the entire beginning area which is a tutorial for the player, inspired by the beginning of Zelda : BOTW
